Chisholm Trail Spay/Neuter & Preventative Care Project
We at Chisholm Trail Veterinary Clinic recognize the importance of controlling pet overpopulation and the prevention of animal health disease through vaccination and preventative products. Our mission is to provide the opportunity for pets to be surgically sterilized, receive vaccinations and preventative care at an affordable rate to the residents of Caldwell County and surrounding areas. We will have limited spaces available on scheduled days throughout the year.
Please be aware that this is a low-cost spay/neuter project which means that numerous pets will have surgery by veterinarians in a short amount of time. Take this into consideration as the procedures are quicker and generic materials, including medications, suture, draping materials, instruments, etc, will be used and technicians will be examining pets prior to surgery. This is different from our spays and neuters performed during regular business hours where more time is allotted per surgery and each pet gets a thorough examination by the veterinarian, pre-anesthetic blood work is offered and pain medications are sent home.
The vaccines used in this program are of the one year duration and not 3 year vaccinations. The vaccines will require annual boosters to prevent disease.
